there's something about reggae that calms you down, warms you up and makes you want to spread some love to everyone around you.

the hours we spent on the train today were worth every second.
we thought we're just dropping off an envelope and book for sunki
before he goes to korea to meet his future wife.
we were meeting him at toni's place.
(toni is a family friend, and also a jeweler.)
he offered us lunch as soon as we arrived
then he drove us to the most beautiful village in all of switzerland
just because he wanted us to see how pretty it is.
he showed us around and gave us all the historical details.
when we went back to his place he showed us where the magic happens,
where he makes all the jewelery.
he formed hunki's bent up ring back into a perfect circle
and then polished both our rings
they look brand new. actually i don't think they were ever so shiny
then he said "you want something engraved in them?"
so now our rings are sparkling and engraved inside:
"HEUNG KOOK + CAROL 1. AUG 2005"
just because. just because he's that nice.
then we had dinner and he invited us to come back
for horseback riding.
we'll go next weekend if it works out.
today was beautiful and fulfilling in every sense.

update of my life:
went to venice.
alice came here and we went to the alps.
today i went to church.
hunki is in the army.
next month i'll be in tuscany, florance and rome.
i decided anything is beautiful if you look at it with hope and love in your eyes.
and you need to love yourself. if you can do that the whole world will smile and love you back.
insecurity and selfishness go hand in hand. if you always worry about what people think of you, you never have the time to think of others. if you would just accept who you are and create yourself into someone you can be proud of, then you can help others to do the same. just find your self-worth.
don't be careless with the things you have, but when the time comes to share an unforgettable memory with someone you love, let yourself go.
